When Apple discovers that a component or service in one of its products is not functioning correctly, it creates an exchange or repair program. Amsys is authorised to inspect, analyse and repair all devices under Apple’s exchange and repair extension programs.

Keyboard Service Program for MacBook and MacBook Pro

22nd June, 2018: Apple has determined that a small percentage of the keyboards in certain MacBook and MacBook Pro models may not function as intended. Apple has therefore authorised Amsys to service eligible MacBook and MacBook Pro keyboards free of charge.

13-inch MacBook Pro (non Touch Bar) Battery Replacement Program

20th April, 2018: Apple has determined that, in a limited number of 13-inch MacBook Pro (non Touch Bar) units, a component may fail causing the built-in battery to expand. This is not a safety issue and Apple will replace eligible batteries, free of charge. Affected units were manufactured between October 2016 and October 2017 and eligibility is determined by the product serial number.

iPhone 7 Repair Program for “No Service” Issues

2nd February, 2018: Apple has determined that a small percentage of iPhone 7 devices overseas may show “No Service” in the status bar (even if cellular coverage is available), due to a component that has failed on the main logic board.

Service Process

Appointments are for eligible device servicing at our centre in 44 Poland Street, London, W1. You don’t need an appointment, but they are free and avoid you having to queue.

  1. If you’re trying to book an appointment for anything other than Apple repair or exchange programs, please use the general appointment bookers for iPhones or Macs
  2. Your device will be examined prior to any service to verify that it is eligible for this program

General notes

  1. If your device has any damage which impairs the service, that issue will need to be repaired first. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the repair
  2. Worldwide Apple programs do not extend the standard warranty coverage of your device
  3. If you believe your device was affected by an acknowledged issue, and you paid to have it repaired, you can contact Apple about a refund
  4. The service turn-around time may vary depending upon the type of service and availability of replacement parts
