Brilliant – computer fixed

I had not been able to switch my MacBook on having shut it down the previous week. After an appointment at Apple’s genius bar I was told that my MacBook needed new wire and as they told hold parts in stock it would take 7-10 days. This was unacceptable to me as they accepted there was no suggestion of anything other than computer failure. I was re-directed to Amsys in Poland Street, who looked at it managed to switch it on, ran a diagnostic and f in about 15 minutes, it was shown there was nothing wrong internally requiring repair. I was shown that it had probably overheated and was given a demonstration of what to do should it happen again.
Just brilliant and Apple had been just rubbish – I suspect all thatApple did was check for liquid damage!
