Looking to start a career in the IT business?
We’ve been hiring, developing and mentoring apprentices for over 20 years. We’ve taken apprentices from the shop floor to the board room and some are even business owners themselves now. If you want to break into IT, you might seriously want to consider an apprenticeship with Amsys.

The Amsys IT Apprenticeship Scheme offers applicants a 2 year “on the job” training and development programme that culminates in “real world”, industry recognised certifications fully funded by Amsys, genuine experience in the IT support industry as well as access to real job opportunities with Amsys’ Enterprise Clients.
As you can see from the schedule below the programme is no walk in the park! Previous IT experience is not required, but determination, commitment & effort is essential as you will only get out what you put in. IT Apprentice Requirements, Programme and Qualifications
Minimum entry requirements are 5 GCSEs at grade C or higher which must include English & Maths. Other requirements are that the applicant can comfortably commute to our offices in Kenley, South London.
Apprentice – 0 – 6 Months
During the first 6 months as an apprentice you will gain “Apple Certified Macintosh Technician” certification. This will be achieved through a mixture of leader led training, self study and “on the job” experience.
Grade One – 6 – 12 Months
Upon successfully obtaining your Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) accreditation you can continue to progress towards the “Apple Certified Support Professional” (ACSP) accreditation.
Grade Two – 12 – 24 Months
After completing each of the above certifications you will work towards the “Apple Certified Technical Co-ordinator” (ACTC) accreditation. As a “Grade Two” technician you will also be eligible to assist an Amsys IT Trainer & Consultant on a range of projects from cross platform integration to large network OS deployment. Towards the end of the year you will attend further training relevant to your interests. This could be iOS support and deployment, Mac os Deployment and Directory services or iOS development training
Grade Three – 24 Months+
Upon completion all of the above certification tracks the next decision is yours, our recruitment team will help you find your first post as a fully certified IT Professional! Successful Amsys Apprentices go on to fasttrack their careers in the IT support industry.
Retrainers are also welcome to join the programme
