Trainer Profiles

Amsys Specialist Trainers and Consultants have unequalled experience at delivering both bespoke and Certified Mac OS training and coaching and contribute invaluable real world experience to all training courses. Below are profiles of each of our Apple Authorised Trainers.

Adam Davies

Adam has been working with Apple products for the last 12 years. Originally working in the post-production environment, Adam has edited on and trained all elements of the Final Cut Studio package. Adam has broadened his experience with Mac OS X to include IT training on the full range of Apple IT courses. When not training, Adam works extensively as an Amsys Consultant on installation and integration projects, delivering real world experience to his training courses. He is ACSA, an Apple Certified Trainer and is also an Adobe certified trainer.

Peter Argyle

Peter has been training longer than he cares to remember (20+years) and has trained on every OS that Apple has released along with most products they have produced since the Apple II. He is now an ACSA Certified trainer and an Apple Certified Sales Trainer. Out side of training he is a keen skier.

Russell Harris

Over the past 16 years Russell has been working in the Apple Service & Support Industry for Amsys.

Initially a Service Technician travelling around the country repairing unwell Macs along with PCs, Russell progressed to Service Management where he was responsible for the running of the workshops, the technicians and repairs. This lead to him developing leadership and training skills for which he puts to good use now as an Apple Certified Trainer, a role he has held full-time for the past 7 years.

With a keen interest in all things Macintosh, Russell enjoys delivering Hardware and Software training to all skill levels as well as assisting Apple with their Tech Series seminars across the country. Over the years, Russell has kept his Computing knowledge and Training skills current through Apple’s Hardware and Software qualifications and also through the CompTIA A+ Certified Professional IT Technician qualification.

Richard Mallion

Richard has been working in the IT industry for almost 20 years. He started out as a Novell Engineer before moving over to Windows servers. For the past 15 years he has been working with Mactintosh Systems. His experience covers the full range of Apple hardware and software, specialising in Networking/Servers, databases and cross platform integration and Directory Services

Richard also has many years of scripting/programming experience which includes Objective C, AppleScript, Shell Scripting, Ruby and iPhone development.

For the past 6 years Richard has been an authorised Apple trainer, authorised to teach all the Apple technical training courses to an ACSA level. While he is not teaching he is busy writing new courses such as Cisco CCNA.

Hugo Costa

Hugo has been working in the Mac environment for over 15 years.
Started as Service Technician, progressed to Technical Management where he was responsible for the running of the workshop, technicians day to day consultancy jobs and installs. This developed his knowledge of the full range of Apple hardware and software, especially Servers.
He got a good working knowledge of large-scale Mac deployments and rollouts and is an innovative solution finder who enjoys developing both Server and Desktop solutions that are dependable, integrated and expandable.

John Greenash

John has been working with Mac’s for over 8 years, initially starting as a hardware technician at Amsys before progressing to onsite repairs/installations and service management. After 5 years, John left to work for Apple as a Genius at their Regent Street retail store where he continued to build upon his technical knowledge and supported a wide range of Apple products and technologies. John has now returned to Amsys as an Apple Certified Trainer and uses his hardware and troubleshooting experience to teach both OS X and ACMT courses.

David Acland

David has been with the Amsys Training team for over five years. Prior to taking on the role of a trainer, David worked in the Macintosh hardware service and support field for a number of years. After a period of time teaching the hardware and Mac OS support courses, David began to specialize in Mac and cross platform technical training and consultancy. David is now one of the country’s few ACSA trainers and currently teaches the full range of Apple technical courses as well as writing and teaching other technical courses such as Windows Server 2008 Cross Platform Integration & Keynote Advanced Features.
