Macintosh System Administrators Conference
13-14th November 2008



We are delighted to announce this years Macintosh System Administrators Conference.

The event aims to bring together technical support professionals from Apple and cross  platform environments to share news and views and discuss everyone's favourite technology!

The Macintosh System Administrators Conference will be held over 2 days and will incorporate a mixture of seminars, discussions and workshop. The workshops will have machines ready so you gain some hands on experience as well as having access to Amsys technical staff for technical discussions.

This years event will focus on Directory Services, Deployment advances with Leopard and this years hot topic, virtualisation.

Conference Venue:
The conference will take place at a venue in Central London, so is easily accessible to most. Precise venue to be announced in due course.

Conference Sessions:

Day 1: 13th November

• Seminar: Mac OS X 10.5 Directory Services - Deploying and troubleshooting Mac OS X in a heterogeneuos environment. This lecture will cover Mac only scenarios as well as integration with Active Directory and third party directory servers. Discover tips, configuring, extending, managingand troubleshooting Open Directory.

• Workshop: Mac OS X 10.5 Directory Services - Expand your experience with some hands on workshops which will allow you to explore Mac OS X Directory Services.

• Seminar: Virtualisation - This Seminar will take a look at various virtualisation solutions for the Apple platform and their deployment. Solutions from Parallels and VMWare will be covered.

• Workshop: Virtualisation - Hands on labs with Parallels Server and VMWare products.

Day 2: 14th November

• Seminar: Mac OS X 10.5 Deployment - This Seminar will take a look at the new techniques of deploying Mac OS X that have emerged recently. Both Apple and third party tools will be covered.

• Workshop: Mac OS X 10.5 Deployment - Expand your experience with some hands on workshops which will allow you to explore various deployment scenerios.

• Seminar: Tiger to Leopard server migration - Discover best practices for smoothly upgrading your Tiger Server based environment with minimal downtime.

• Workshop: Tiger to Leopard server migration - Hands on experience migrating file services, OpenDirectory, web servies,mail services etc
