About the scheme
If you are looking to start a career in IT support then why not get paid as you learn? The Amsys IT Apprenticeship Scheme offers applicants a 2 year "on the job" training and development programme that culminates in "real world", industry recognised certifications fully funded by Amsys, genuine experience in the IT support industry as well as access to real job opportunities with Amsys' Enterprise Clients.
As you can see from the schedule below the programme is no walk in the park! Successful applicants will be provided with a wealth of resources to aid in achieving their certifications and ultimately their career goals. Previous IT experience is not required, but determination, commitment & effort is essential as you will only get out what you put in.
Requirements
Minimum entry requirements are 4 G.C.S.E's at 'c' grade or higher which must include English & Maths. Other requirements are that the applicant can comfortably commute to Amsys' offices in Kenley, South London.
Schedule
Amsys IT Apprenticeship Schedule
  Apprentice - 0 - 6 Months
  During the first 6 months as an apprentice you will be working towards your "Apple Certified Desktop & Portable Technician" certification. This will be achieved through a mixture of leader led training, self study and "on the job" experience.
Amsys Grade 1
   Grade One - 6 - 12 Months
  Upon successfully obtaining your ACDT & ACPT accreditation you will continue to progress towards the Comptia A+ Certification.
Amsys Grade 2Amsys Grade 2
   Grade Two - 12 - 24 Months
  After completing each of the above certifications you will work towards the "Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist" (MCTS) in Windows Vista and the "Apple Certified Technical Co-ordinator" (ACTC) accreditations. As a "Grade Two" technician you will also be eligible to assist an Amsys IT Trainer & Consultant on a range of projects from cross platform integration to large network OS deployment.
Amsys Grade 3Amsys Grade 3
   Grade Three - 24 Months +
  Upon completion all of the above certification tracks the next decision is yours. You can continue to pursue a number of certifications offered by Amsys including "Apple Certified Systems Administrator" (ACSA), "Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer" (MCSE) & "Cisco Certified Network Associate" (CCNA), to name a few.
