Course Overview
• DNS: DNS is a key services to providing secure services. Here you will see how to edit and create zones files as well as how to secure and make your DNS services more resilient.
• DHCP: Learn how the Apple DHCP server functions. See how you can provide secure DHCP services as weal as how to troubleshoot this service.
• NAT/Gateway: Leant how Apple’s Network Address Translation service functions. Learn how to configure it as a gateway for your network devices.
• Firewall: Learn how to setup Mac OS X server’s firewall to provide security to your Mac OS X server infrastructure.
• VPN: Using Apple’s VPN service, learn how to provide secure public access to your internal network for Mac OS X and iOS devices.
• Keys and Certificates: Keys and certificates are used widely to provide secure connections between devices. Learn how certificates and how you can create your own.
• Providing iPhone Applications: Apple’s iPhone Configuration Utility is used to create configuration profiles for iOS devices. Learn how to create these profiles, what they can do and how to deploy them. You will also have a look at Apple’s development tools such as Xcode and Dashcode. You will use Dashcode to create a web app and then deploy it so iOS devices can access it.
