ACMT Hardware Recertification

This course will prepare you for the Apple Hardware Recertification exam (9L0-314).

Who Should Attend?

  • ALL current Apple Certified Macintosh Technicians (ACMT) whose certification is due to expire.

Prerequisites

Students should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending this course:

  • You must have an existing ACMT certification that is about to expire.
    We recommend you take the recertifcation course no more than 30 days before your expiry date.

Course Overview
The 9L0-314 course and exam consists of the following sections:ESD Precautions :
In this course, you will review how electro-static discharge (ESD) can damage equipment.
In addition, you will be shown work practices that can guard against such damage.Technician Safety :
Overview of Servicing a CRT Macintosh, Shock Hazards and Hazardous Materials, Specific Macintosh
Safety Procedures, Special Take-Apart handing and Tools and finally the correct handling and safety
measures to apply around Portable computers including Embedded Battery Handling.

Thunderbolt Troubleshooting :
Introduction to Apple’s new protocol, chipset, and connector providing high-performance data devices
and high-resolution display support through a single port.

Troubleshooting Scenarios :
How to make the best use of the official Apple Technician Guides

AppleCare New procedures and tips :
Overview of the latest troubleshooting tips, changes to service procedures and new GSX features.

Product introduction, Take Apart and Troubleshooting Tips covering the following products :

 

MacBook Air (11-inch, Late 2010) :
An introduction to the new, smaller MacBook Air (11-inch, Late 2010) introduced in October 2010.

MacBook Air (13-inch, Late 2010) :
An overview of the redesigned MacBook Air (13-inch, Late 2010) introduced in October 2010.

 

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) :
This course covers features of the MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) introduced in February 2011.

 

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Early 2011) :
This course demonstrates changes to servicing the MacBook Pro (15-inch, Early 2011) introduced in February 2011.

 

 MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2011) :
This course provides a Product overview of the  MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2011) introduced in February 2011.

 

iMac (Mid 2011) :
This course overviews the new features and changes to servicing the iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011) & iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011), introduced in May 2011.

 

Mac Mini (Mid 2011) :
This course covers new features, Service Issues and Troubleshooting tips for the Mac mini (Mid 2011) & Mac mini Server (Mid 2011) introduced in July 2011.

 

MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2011) :
This course provides a summary of the refreshed MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2011) introduced in July 2011.

 

MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2011) :
This course covers troubleshooting the MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2011) introduced in July 2011.

 

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2011) :
In this final section, we look at the new features of the education-focused iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2011) introduced in August 2011.
